Moustafa
Abdel-Rahman Saif
This study aims to identify the effect of the rowing sport on the activity level of creatine phosphokinaze enzyme (C.P.K), lactate dehydrogenizes (L.D.H), creatine and creatinine in blood serum.Researcher used the experimental method on a sample consisted of ‘’10’’ players from rowing players from ‘’Egyptian hunting club’’ under ‘’18’’ eighteen years old were chosen by the malicious way from rowing players at Alexandria region. This study results resulted that there is a significant increasing in ‘’creatine’’ and ‘’creatinine’’ level, also increasing of “L.D.H” enzyme and “C.P.K” enzyme activity level after the competition by “4”four hours was higher than from it’s before or after the competition directly.Researcher recommends studying the rest enzymes activities in different sports ,to follow it’s role and standing on the training status of players, so evaluating the training plans and building the training programs at the rowing sport field on a scientific base contributes in rising the performance level of rowing players especially during competitions ,and different sports players in general.

The Effectiveness of Tactic Performances during Instantaneous Switch to Fast Break and Their Relation to Results of Games of the 2019 World Handball Championship for Men
Ranya
Mohamed Saeed
The objective of the current research was to identify attacking and defensive tactic performances during the instantaneous switch to fast break in the 2019 World Handball Championship for Men. The researcher designed a game analysis form and used the descriptive method via the screening technique. The research sample included (40) games representing the preliminary round games for the top (8) teams in the championship. The results showed that the proportion of the effective fast break in games of the research sample was the third wave tactic fast break from a counter attack by (23.8%). The proportion of defensive performance which was the most effective during the instantaneous switch to the fast break was for the defensive formation of delivery and receipt by (25.7%). The sum of goals scored by the sample teams via the fast break was (533) from (1199) goals by (44.5%). The 2nd quarter of the game is the most effective time period as per the three types of fast break by (34.7%). The 2nd quarter of the game is the most effect time period as per defensive performances by (32.8%).

Introduction: Swimming is becoming increasing popular in Kuwait. Relationships with teachers, especially physical education (PE) teachers whether positive or negative, influences cigarette use among young people. Despite the public health concerns, comprehensive lifestyle data of Kuwaiti college age students, including physical activity and smoking habits, is lacking. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the physical activity (PA) levels, swimming ability, and smoking status among Kuwaiti male and female physical education colleges students. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 418 randomly selected college students (198 males and 220 females) aged 18-25 years from the College of Basic Education during the 2017 - 2018 academic year. Physical activity levels were assessed using the Arab Teen Lifestyle Study (ATLS) questionnaire. Swimming ability and smoking status were assessed using the Godin questionnaire. Anthropometric measurements included weight (kg) and height (cm). Body fat (%) and lean muscle mass (kg) were determined with bioelectrical impedance analysis. Body mass index (BMI) was calculated using height and weight (kg/m2). Statistics: Independent t-tests were used to detect significant differences between the mean values of male and female subjects. Results: Male subjects had more muscle mass (39.1±4 kg vs. 25±4 kg) and were more physically active compared with females (645±40 vs. 443±56 min/week) (p<0.05). Body fat was greater in females (32±7%) compared with males (21±10%) (p<0.05). Both groups had similar BMI values (23.7±4 kg/m2 and 23.1±3 kg/m2 in males and females, respectively). Smoking prevalence was 45% in males and 7% in females. Three percent of males and 20% of females did not know how to swim. Conclusion: Male PE students report greater physical activity levels than female students; however, they have a higher prevalence of smoking which might affect children and adolescent students and increase the prevalence in the Kuwaiti society. For this reason, there is an urgent need for the Ministry of Education to provide smoking cessation clinics.

Abstract. [Purpose] The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of a suggested rehabilitation program with mechanical traction on basketball player’s low back spine pain treatment and efficiency of skillful performance. [Subjects and Methods] The study sample comprised twenty four players (17-22 years–old) from Port-Said different basketball clubs who’s registered in the Egyptian basketball federation season 2016/2017, 2017/2018, 2018/2019 and diagnosed with low back spine pain. The sample was selected from men basketball players, the study was applied in July 2017– March 2018, Port-Said - Egypt (each player receive 12 treatment sessions / 3 weeks except therapeutic exercise programs receive 30 units ). The sample was divided to two subsamples the control sample was treated with the traditional treatment method separately (therapeutic exercise programs, TENS/EMS, ultrasound (US), heating/cooling, manual therapy/mechanical vibrating massage and mechanical low back spine traction), the experimental sample was treated as same as the control sample with addition that the mechanical low back spine traction treatment was done at the same time with TENS/EMS, heating/cooling and manual therapy/ mechanical vibrating massage vibrating massage. Low back pain was measured using three different low back range of motion (ROM) parameters and basketball skill test racing circuit, for each patient pre and post traditional and suggested rehabilitation program. [Results] The experimental sample was higher in the results of low back pain reduction than the control sample; moreover it was higher than the control sample in the results of basketball skillful performance. Conclusion: It appears that mechanical traction and TENS/EMS, heating/cooling and manual therapy/electric massage, that done at the same time on low back spine have a beneficial effect on reducing the pain and increasing efficiency of skillful performance amongst basketball players.

[Purpose] The purpose of this study was to identify the causes of skin injuries that affecting the rowers’ performance. [Subjects and Methods] The study was applied in July - September 2019, Port Said rowing club, Egypt. The study sample was divided to two fungi isolation sources the rower body source (hand, fingers press, between fingers, knee, foot, toes press, between toes and groin area) of fourteen rowers and the other source was the rowing boat units (oar, seat and foot-stretcher) of seven rowing boats. Conventional swabbing and the press culture techniques were used to isolate the pathogenic microorganisms and spread on the modified Sabouraud Dextrose agar media, immediately after training. The growing fungi were purified in pure cultures on slants of the same medium. Ten pure culture fungal slants were identified. [Results] Ten fungal isolates were isolated from twenty one different sources (rowers’ body and rowing boat units) with total count 4371 and 465 respectively. For rowers’ body maximum count was detected with between fingers (Right and Left), and minimum count was detected with groin area. While for rowing boat units’ maximum count was detected with foot-stretcher (Right and Left), and minimum count was detected with seat after 14 days of incubation. Conclusion: It appears that the rowers’ body source of fourteen rowers and the rowing boat units of seven rowing boats have different fungal species that may cause skin disease for the rowers.
