Eight recreational active participants (5 males, and 3 females) [33.6±4.5 years, 77.2±17.01 kg, and176.6±8.85 cm] volunteered to participate in this study. Each participant performed a Wingate test on Velotron Dynafit pro cycle Ergometer preceded by no treatment (CON), WBV at 30 Hz (30-Hz), and WBV at 60 Hz (60-Hz). WBV was consisted of 5 min, alternating every 30-sec from full standing to unloaded semi squat. None of WBV frequencies changed the total work done (P= 0.97), peak Watts (P= 0.99), and anaerobic power (P= 0.94). These data indicate that WBV either at high or low frequency was not able to improve the anaerobic performance of high intensity cycle ergometer in recreational active subjects. Most of the players do their role and become the key players in many hard offensive and defensive situations as they have enough experience and high technical level, taking into consideration that the substitute’s negative performance would be reflected on the game’s result. The study is important because it aims at determining the role of the substitute in the different game situations in the African and European soccer championships, in order to take advantage of this analytical study in the training process. By reviewing the previous literature and through the researcher’s work in the field of soccer training, it was clear that there is a lack in the literature and research concerned with the role of the substitute, and by following the substitute in the African and European soccer championships, we would find that the substitute was the main reason that the Egyptian team won the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations and the Spanish team won the 2012 European Soccer Championship. It was obvious in the game of Egypt vs. Ghana in the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations when Nagy Gedo entered the game and scored the goal that won the championship, this also happened in the final of the 2012 European Soccer Championship between Spain and Italy when Spain won 4-0, with two substitutes, Fernando Torres and Juan Mata scoring two goals.}, keywords = {Substitute,soccer}, url = {https://jassalexu.journals.ekb.eg/article_84591.html}, eprint = {https://jassalexu.journals.ekb.eg/article_84591_96f60f5def634e10607e63b8c0b08591.pdf} } @article { author = {Soliman Ismail, Walid}, title = {Comparing the Health-Related Fitness of the (10-12) Years-Old Children in Light of the Variance of Sea Level Altitude}, journal = {Journal of Applied Sports Science}, volume = {6}, number = {4}, pages = {70-78}, year = {2016}, publisher = {Alexandria University, Faculty of Sport Education in Abu Qir}, issn = {2357-0024}, eissn = {2357-0059}, doi = {10.21608/jass.2016.84592}, abstract = {This research aims to identify the characteristics of health-related fitness in three provinces in Al-Baha region which vary in the sea level altitude, where Almandaq province is at an elevation of about (2500m), while Alaqeeq province is at an elevation of about (1540m), and Qalwa province is at an elevation of about (400m). The researcher used the descriptive method for its relevance to the research procedures and objectives. The research sample included 24 juniors from Al-Ittihad Alexandria Basketball Club, who were born in 2002, and were listed in an under-14 years-old team (A) and a 14 years-old team (B). They were selected intentionally and divided into three groups according to the three playing positions (point guard, guard, and post player), and the measurements were conducted during the 2015-2016 season in the period from 7/2/2016 to 11/2/2016, using 1.5 tesla magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), after determining the areas of thickness and prevalence rate of white matter of the brain to obtain the value of the diffusion coefficient and mass size. The results revealed the following points: 1- The guard exceeded the point guard in all of the variables of prevalence rate of the white matter except for the posterior lobe of the inner capsule (PLic) 2- The point guard exceeded the post player in all of the variables of prevalence rate of the white matter except for the deep white matter in the front lobe (DF) 3- The post player exceeded the point guard in the (white matter MO) Finally the researcher recommended the following: 1- Depending on the thickness index and prevalence rate of white matter of the brain as one of the biological markers of selection in basketball. 2- Developing predictive equations that combine between the physical, neural and technical traits to be a reliable criterion in evaluating the technical performance of basketball players.}, keywords = {Thickness and Prevalence Rate,White Matter of the Brain,Biological Marker,Basketball}, url = {https://jassalexu.journals.ekb.eg/article_84593.html}, eprint = {https://jassalexu.journals.ekb.eg/article_84593_6aea2c980e70f63e9a371e7619fe8dd5.pdf} }
