Methods: Six male triple jumpers were videotaped during triple jump performance with three video cameras 60 Hz and the analysis was performed by DARTFISH TEAM PRO 4.5 software program, One-way repeated measure ANOVA was performed for each parameter. For the correlation analysis Pearson’s correlation coefficients were used to examine the relationships between both (K_vertand〖 K〗_leg), and horizontal velocity and loss of horizontal velocity. Results:K_vertreached maximum value at hop (31.42 kN/m), then decreased consistently during step (25.83 kN/m) and jump (20.33 kN/m. Decrease in horizontal velocity during step and jump was 11.3 % and 13.4% respectively. On the other hand K_leg reaches a minimum value during hope (13.77 kN/m), then peaked at step phase (25.89 kN/m) and decreased during jump (16.97 kN/m). Conclusion: the results of the present study suggested that a higher K_vert values are necessary to maintain horizontal velocity and minimizing the loss of horizontal velocity during triple jump performance. Since the 1980s numerous studies have examined various physiological responses associated with the cardiorespiratory, metabolic, hormonal, neuromuscular and immunological systems during the pre-event taper across a number of sports but there were not a clear results obtained. Recently, miRNAs have been shown to play an important role in the regulation of muscle development. miRNA-1 and miRNA-206 are expressed in cardiac and skeletal muscle and are transcriptionally regulated by the myogenic differentiation factors. Purpose of this study was to investigate miRNAs 1 & 206 in response to training handball program followed by tapering for 5 days. Results are compared to some physical and skills performances in fourteen handball female players constitute Helwan University handball team. Results showed significant increased levels in both miRNAs due to both of training program and tapering with improved performance in physical and skills properties. It is concluded that tapering enhance miRNAs 1 & 206 transcription that enhance muscle differentiations and proliferation leading to improved performance.}, keywords = {Tapering,Micro-RNA,Handball}, url = {https://jassalexu.journals.ekb.eg/article_84472.html}, eprint = {https://jassalexu.journals.ekb.eg/article_84472_09a3abe3443a0d8d82e7de1adf326cc6.pdf} } @article { author = {Ahmed Abd El-Haleem, Mustafa}, title = {Evaluating Students' Activities in Some Faculties of Physical Education in the Light of Political Variables}, journal = {Journal of Applied Sports Science}, volume = {5}, number = {1}, pages = {163-179}, year = {2015}, publisher = {Alexandria University, Faculty of Sport Education in Abu Qir}, issn = {2357-0024}, eissn = {2357-0059}, doi = {10.21608/jass.2015.84473}, abstract = {The current research aims at evaluating students’ activities in some faculties of physical education in the light of current political changes through identifying students’ perspectives about some activities (students’ unions – cultural committees – students’ group committees – social work and trips committees). The researcher used the descriptive approach. Research community included students of faculties of physical education in Tanta, Alexandria and Asiout Universities. Sample included (150) students representing 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students in addition to members of students’ unions to express their opinions about the following activities: students’ unions – cultural committees – students’ group committees – social work and trips committees. Another (30) students were used as a pilot sample for validating the questionnaire (pilot sample). The researcher designed a questionnaire for evaluating some students’ activities in some faculties of physical education in the light of current political changes – beneficiaries’ perspective. The final version included (4) axes and (37) items. The researcher concluded that students feel free in practicing their activities. Cultural activities are very important due to its vital role in enriching students in all aspects that deepen the sense of belonging. Students’ groups suffer from various restrictions concerning establishment, programs and activities. This makes students refrain from establishing students’ groups due to administrative and bureaucratic restrictions in addition to banning the issuance of magazines with a political nature. This also makes faculty members refrain from supervising such activities.
